Beginning in 1886, Hot Springs, Arkansas, became the epicenter of Spring Training for Major League Baseball and the Negro Leagues.  Hundreds of baseball's greatest stars traveled to train and play at "America's Baden-Baden", internationally famous for its hot mineral springs and spas. Among the many legendary ballplayers who graced the ball fields of Hot Springs, was an astonishing sixty-one per cent (61%) of all catchers currently in the National Baseball Hall of Fame, in Cooperstown, New York.  This website is a tribute to the backstop immortals of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
